My local Nuclear Power Stations are at Dungeness which was mysteriously missed off the recent list. The Shepway Council is saying it will miss £3 million a year contribution to the local economy. The proposed site fits within the current footprint so encroaching on the nearby SSSI could be said to not be a factor.

However, some people might think that by not having a new nuclear installation it reduces one serious objection to the proposed expansion of the airport nearby at Lydd. And that will impact on the SSSI and more.

Complex, eh?
